They Had Me At Hello

Well here it is, the inaugural blog from the one and only Dr Hot. None too soon might I add! I need to draw America’s attention to something that happens in every town from Maine to California. A few weeks ago I was singled out and targeted. I am not proud to admit it, but I take some comfort in knowing that I am not the only one. I was walking into the local grocery store and these two young ladies approached me, acting all sweet and innocent. Truth be told, they were targeting me the moment I left my car (hanging head in shame). I tried to play it cool, but the smile on my face was plain to see and they knew they had me at hello. So a little small talk ensued and next thing you know, money is changing hands and my conscience is leading to remorse and second guesses of my decision!!! Should I have chosen Samoas and Tagalongs instead of the Do-Si-Dos and Thin Mints! Yes that’s right I fell victim to the charm of a local Girl Scout troup and decided to support them by buying some cookies. My waist line may suffer, but that is a small price to pay to help these young ladies out… besides its COOKIES!!!!! Please support your local Girl Scout troups!

Hey- I saw that you dropped by from SITS- thanks for commenting. It took me years, but I no longer bow to the will of Girl Scouts. Thank goodness you didn't buy the lemon cookies!

Don't feel bad, my husband has already purchased three boxes himself. I was weak and helped him eat them and so did our two kids. If you can't beat 'em...
