Wanna roll like a party girl?! Well now you can!

Happy Day Superchicks and welcome to...

If you've ever wondered what we "party girls" can't live without?!  Well wonder no more!  This new series has my superchicks spillin!  They're shoutin out their TOP 5 FAVORITE party related commodities and hookin you up with pics and links!

Whoop!  Whoop!

Kicking off our series is my girl Do from PIGGY BANK PARTIES!!!  She's a total rockstar and I just know that you'll love her kickass list!!!

What words come to mind when “the” Superchick asks you to guest post on her blog?  Every word that’s a synonym to WOO-HOO! I am beyond thrilled to be guest postin’ for G, my favorite Superchick!  I am lovin’ Genevieve’s new blog series, FIVE FAB PARTY FINDS! I’m always on the lookout for new gadgets, products and inspiring ideas when planning parties. What I love even more? Finding things that are affordable, readily available and have multiple uses!

Here are my 5 FAB PARTY FINDS:

I love a good fondant cupcake topper.  LIV Creativity created amazing fondant toppers for our Charlie Brown Inspired Birthday.  I wish I could make fondant toppers.  The ones I’ve tried have failed miserably!  BUT I just discovered the BEST Faux Fondant Cupcake Toppers!  A link to a Superhero Cupcake tutorial popped up on my Facebook page with the words, “easier than you think” and I was intrigued.  Michelle of Sugar Swings! Serve Some created cupcake toppers using candy melts, wax paper and a printed logo.  They have a similar look to fondant toppers but without all the fuss!  BUT WAIT!  Michelle also tells you how to add a buttercream center without fancy tools!  I know I can make these and can’t wait to try them for my next party.  (Ugh! Now I want a cupcake!)  The tutorial is FREE but you may need to buy extra candy melts if you munch when you bake!

FOUR ~ Reusable Adhesive Putty (aka Poster Putty)
I love finding useful party tools at my local office supply store.  I hung posters in my college dorm room using poster putty.  Now that I’ve grown out of that phase (whew!), I use poster putty for parties. You can purchase a pack for around $2.25.  One pack will last a REALLY LONG time since its REUSABLE!  Don’t have the “perfect” cake stand to match your theme?  Thought about using a bowl and plate but it’s too precarious?  Put some poster putty on top of an upside down bowl and attach your plate.  The poster putty will hold the plate in place and remove easily.  LOVE it!

Celebration Lights are my latest find.  I recently created the décor for a New Year’s kick-off celebration.  The table centerpiece included a paper globe and I wanted it to glow. I was planning to use battery operated lights when I found these at my local party store. They are made to light up balloons — you can put them inside — cool, huh?  I hung two inside the paper globes and the glowing globes were a HUGE hit!  I love how small they are and the large amount of light they produce. This past weekend  we had a photo shoot for our “Love Rocks” Collection which has a rocker vibe.  I put five lights under a colorful translucent plastic bowl to create a cool glow on the table.  A package of 12 is $9.99 but a really great investment.  You can replace the batteries and REUSE!  Celebration lights ROCK!

I wish I owned stock in Double Sided Tape!  I use this for every single party and photo shoot I produce.  I have used it to hem tablecloths, label ice buckets, hang banners, secure linens around a table in a pinch and just about anything else you can think of.  A two-pack will cost you around $5.00-$6.00. I make sure I pack two rolls in my party tool kit — it’s that ESSENTIAL!

(Drumroll)  and my number one FAB PARTY FIND is…
I ran across Premium Plastic Plates while I was shopping at my local party store.  I needed supplies for my sister’s retirement party and these glossy square plates caught my eye.  We were planning to serve mini desserts at the party and I didn’t know how I was going to display them.  The 10 ¾” plates made perfect platters and were priced at 10 plates for $9.99.  You heard me right…$1 per platter!  If you hand wash them, you can use them again and again… AND they don’t take up much storage space either.  They come in a variety of colors and shapes.  As you can see by the pictures, I use them ALL the time!

If you haven’t realized it by now, I’m a bargain hunter.  (…another big hint…I’m from Piggy Bank Parties!)  When I do splurge on a product, I want to be able to use it again and again.  I hope you’re inspired to look around your house and your local community to see what you can use in a totally unique way for your own events.  I’m feeling a bit sad that this guest post is coming to an end…(sniffle, sniffle)…but I’m so excited that I got to share a bit about myself and my 5 FAB PARTY FINDS with all of you!

Thanks for inviting me, G!
I’m proud to say you’re my favorite Superchick
and honored to call you my friend!
